Products:
Mittens: These are made from an 85% wool, 15% mohair blend. I knit them very over sized and shrink them down to fit. This is called felting, and it makes the mittens more weather resistant and durable. $32.00 adult sizes Tablet, e-reader and phone covers: NEW PRODUCT FOR 2012 ! These are knit three times larger than the finished product and then felted. Shrinking the covers this much makes them very thick, durable and padded to protect the items inside. Price to be determined Hats: The hats are either made from 100% wool, or the wool, mohair blend. These are not felted so they remain stretchy for more comfort. I make over 75 different color and pattern choices, and they are all lined with fleece around the ears. Kid's hats $20.00 / Adult hats $25.00 Market bags: These come in a variety of sizes and shapes, and are also very firmly felted for durability. Prices vary Felted wool slippers: NEW PRODUCT FOR 2012 ! These are very firmly felted wool slippers with a double bottom for exceptional durability. We find them very warm. Price to be determined About Barn Swallow Garden: My name is Elizabeth and Barn Swallow Garden is my small business. I started this business in 2008 growing 100 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, garlic and and other vegetables for the farmers market. I specialized in unusual varieties you couldn't buy in the grocery stores. Being a life long knitter, I knit a few mittens and hats to spice up my market offerings. The mittens and hats were such a big hit, that I now have my hands full with the knit items for the farmers market. |
